Early Identification & Early intervention towards inclusive education of children with Hearing Impairment.

This is a project sponsored by Aliyavar Jung National Institute for the Hearing Handicapped (AYJNIHH), Mumbai and Bala Vidyalaya, Chennai. The project involves development of manpower specially trained to handle young children and also setting up of early- intervention centers. An Early Intervention centre with 29 children admitted below the age of 3 years has been set up during the first phase. Twenty rehabilitation professionals were also trained during this phase.
