The insititute conducts audiological evaluation for the entire range of affected population ranging from neonates to geriatrics . NISH is equipped with state of the art advanced audiological equipment and uses a test battery fot the clinical diagnosis. Paediatric diagnostic test battery comprises of :

• Behavioral Observation Audiometry
• Conditioned Audiometry
• Immutance Audiometry with Acoustic reflexes
• Brain stern evoked response Audiometry
• Oto Acoustic Emission Analysis

         The adult diagnostic test battery comprises of

• Pure tone Audiometry
• Speech Audiometry
• Immitance Audiometry with Acoustic reflexes

        In addition to these, special tests such as High frequency Audiometry, Multi frequency Tympanometry, Middle Latency Response, Tests for cochlear
        and retro cochlear pathology, etc are also conducted when necessary.
